Upon arrival, dry clean garments are inspected, tagged and prepped for production. Once in production, our certified stain removal expert treats the garment for any pre-existing stains. Our certified dry cleaner then cleans the garment in a solvent based cleaning solution. Our dry cleaning machines use a triple filter/distillation process to assure our solvent is crystal clear! Our pressers then hand press the garment, using one our soft steam pressing equipment to ensure a quality finish. Your garment is then inspected, placed on a hanger and covered with one of our bio-degradable plastic garment bags.

*Specific items that may incur damage if dry cleaned or have excessive staining, may need to be “wetcleaned”, which is a similar process but does use water.

At Starcrest Cleaners, we recognize that many household items require additional care and attention. Starcrest's household service includes coats, comforters, sheets, drapes, tablecloths, and other similar items found within the household. While the items go through the dry cleaning process, household items are individually inspected and must be cleaned separately. Therefore, these items can take anywhere from two days to a week to clean.

Wedding dresses are treated as their own process. They may be dry cleaned or wet cleaned depending on material, beading, soiling, etc. Wedding dresses are inspected upon arrival and treated for any pre-existing stains. We then clean the dress by itself, either wet clean or dry clean. After cleaning, we perform another inspection before the pressing process. The dress is then hand pressed, placed on a bust form, hung, and covered with a protective bag. If you choose to have us preserve your dress, we will place your dress in a preservation box with acid-free white tissue paper. All of our preservation boxes have a plastic viewing window for your convenience.

Starcrest also offers leather and fur cleaning. Because of the unique cleaning requiments, these garments are not processed at our facilities. We partner with regional "specialty" cleaners to provide our customers with the absolute best cleaning service! These garments can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks depending on location and time of drop-off.
